Abstract

What are the perceptions of the training function held by the people who take—or pay for—training? That’s the question underlying this study. Specifically, it reports the preliminary results of a qualitative study of the perceptions of training that are held by front-line workers, their managers, and their managers’ managers in three Information Technology groups. This presentation reports the key findings from this study, as well as the drivers of the perceptions of training that are suggested by it.
