Numerous literary works have offered different interpretations on the future of humanity; in the 19 th century, the work of Auguste Villiers de l'Isle-Adam introduced, in "L'Ève future", the creation of an electric "Andréide", capable of replacing humans. A modern day work by Chloe Delaume entitled "Corpus Simsi" offers another interpretation which involves the integration of the human spirit into a video game, The Sims(TM), which simulates human life. In which way do these two works, these two "Eves", echo each other, complete and question each other beyond the century that separates them? To what extent do the literary discourses and the scientific and technological developments mutually influence each other? The answers to these questions will be explored through analysis of both interpretations.
