Abstract
The model is derived from a 5-input, 3-output variable profit function, which is assumed to represent UK technology. The inputs, labour, non-human capital, R&D and capital, are fixed in the short run and the prices of exports, imports, investment goods and consumption goods are assumed to be exogeneous.
