Abstract

This thesis investigates the intricate relationship between political ideologies and health
outcomes, with a particular focus on infant mortality rates (IMRs). Utilizing a gametheoretical
framework, this study models the strategic interactions among political
actors and their implications on health policy decisions. The research integrates data
from 2007 to 2022, encompassing multiple electoral cycles and shifts in political ideologies,
to provide a robust analysis of how these factors influence public health outcomes.
