Abstract
"Contemplative practices and pedagogy in the classroom" is an open educational resource that seeks to engage the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—in teaching and learning. Co-created at Concordia’s Centre for Teaching and Learning, it shares insights, reflections, and practices that foster presence, connection, and care in both secular and spiritual contexts. Designed with and for educators, students, and practitioners, it invites exploration of intersections with different epistemologies, trauma-informed approaches, and culturally relevant pedagogy—whether read cover to cover or as a non-linear contemplative journey.
